**Who are we?**

The Royal School of Needlework is a renowned centre of excellence in the teaching and creation of hand embroidery. It offers Degree, Certificate, Diploma and day classes at its base in the iconic Hampton Court Palace and 7 other centres, four in the UK,two in Japan and one in North America.

Being 150 years old gives us a background and pedigree second to none, but we are also a dynamic and contemporary organisation with students coming from all over the world to study on our courses.

In addition to teaching, we run a Studio for têxtile conservation, restoration and new work for a range of clients from individual families to public bodies. We have a Collection and Archive of some 60,000 objects including embroideries, designs, photographsand documents which are used for student reference and public exhibitions. We also run tours to see our exhibitions and have a shop supplying stitch and RSN related products.

P.S. You might know us from when we worked with Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen as our skilled embroiderers created the bespoke lace on the current Princess of Wales’ wedding dress, veil and shoes.

**The Programmes Manager role**:
We are looking for a Programmes Manager to manage and develop the RSN Certificate and Diploma programmes across all sites and online, ensuring a quality experience for the student at all times. To create new programmes between short courses and C&D to reachnew audiences and offer additional opportunities to current and former students.

**Key Responsibilities**:
+ Managing and overseeing the RSN C&D programmes at all centres and online, including setting budgets, monitoring and meeting all financial targets.
+ Working with the Director of Education on of quality and student experience
+ Overseeing the planning of the annual cycle of teaching in all areas.
+ To investigate sites to hold C&D classes in conjunction with tutors.
+ Responsible for open days to introduce the course to potential students.
+ To keep in regular contact with our satellite and overseas tutors, including visiting those in the UK at least once a year.
+ Ensuring adequate and effective office coverage during the intensive weeks in the
+ Managing the staff team dealing with booking systems, course payments and handling queries for all centres. Also, the preparation of kits for online students.
+ Leading the introductory sessions for online classes, including working hours outside the standard day.
+ Representing the RSN at events and appropriate functions.
+ Undertaking such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job

+ Excellent customer service/delivery
+ Administration management
+ The ability to maintain professional standards and devising initiatives to bring past students back to us, as well as developing programmes to attract new ones.
+ Relationship building skills to nurture and support our customers and tutors.

You might be a Programmes Manager in another education setting or an excellent administrator with knowledge of course planning and delivery.
