Grimsby, United Kingdom Focus Independent Adult Social Work Full time

You will work as a Level 2 Social Work Practitioner, but will have the additional responsibility of acting as Deputy to our Social Work Manager (Out of Area). You will undertake reviews and assessments for people who are placed out of area to ensure the service being provided is of high quality, is appropriate to the needs of the individual, is safe and delivers value for money. Your role will be to ensure that people placed out of area are visible and are able to influence and exercise choice and control in the decisions made about their care and support.

We are looking for someone who can build positive relationships at a number of levels and bring enthusiasm, creativity and passion to the service. You will need to be highly organised with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively across professions and agencies in order to make evidence based decisions.

You will need to be confident in your approach when dealing with others, often in challenging and difficult situations. You must be able to demonstrate a level of self-discipline in managing a workload and a level of emotional resilience in dealing with the challenges that this role inevitably brings.

You will need to be able to offer support and advice to other members of the team, supervise staff and be flexible to meet the needs of the service.
