**We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Medical Administrator to join our team in delivering high quality care to our Practice population.**

Oakham Medical Practice is based in a thriving market town in the beautiful county of Rutland. Market Overton is a picturesque village in the North of Rutland with a branch surgery in the village of Somerby just across the border in Leicestershire. The Practices serve 20,000 patients.

We are part of Rutland Health Primary Care Network and work collaboratively and effectively with our local partners in general practice, the community and social care.

This position is full-time (37 hours) and offers a competitive salary, generous annual leave and access to the NHS Pension Scheme.

**Job Summary**
- To work as part of the Administration & Coding Team responsible for the read-coding of relevant information into the patient’s electronic healthcare records on SystemOne.
- To support the multi-disciplinary team, providing administrative support as required in line with the needs of the practice.
- To assist in maintaining patient recall systems for screening, immunisations and long term condition reviews.

**Responsibilities**
- File and code necessary data from clinical/hospital correspondence and input into Electronic Patient Record.
- Process patient online access requests.
- Process patient registration requests.
- Process GP links, i.e. deductions, GP2GP, amendments, pathology reports
- Summarise patient notes when requested by GP.
- Set up and run clinical searches/audits.
- Retrieve and re-file patient paper records as required, ensuring strict alphabetical order is adhered to.
- Process arrivals and deductions of patients’ paper records.
- Attend meetings, appropriate to role.
- Assist in monitoring patient call and recall systems, sending out invitation letters, as appropriate.
- Support colleagues in their role within the Practice i.e. cover for sickness and annual leave.
- Support and guide new members of staff in the use of the computer system.
- Supporting colleagues in ordering and monitoring of stationery, staff uniform and other supplies and maintenance of e-shopping lists from suppliers.
