**Responsibilities**:

- Support students in both group and one-on-one settings, ensuring they are engaged and motivated in their learning.
- Assist with classroom activities and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide additional support to students who may require help with reading, writing, or other areas of their development.
- Encourage social interaction and positive behavior, helping students to build confidence and self-esteem.
- Monitor and track the progress of students, reporting back to the teacher and SENCO as required.
- Collaborate with other teaching assistants and school staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable
- A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to adapt to individual needs and learning styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Ideally, relevant qualifications or training related to supporting children with special educational needs.

**Salary**: £75.00-£85.00 per day

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

- Whitley Bay, NE26 4RR: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Special education: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
