Job Type: Special Needs Assistant

Location: Newcastle

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Assistant to join a highly rated SEN school in Newcastle. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with special needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with challenging behavior and be able to demonstrate their ability to build professional relationships with students. A fun but firm presence is essential, as well as good communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with a range of special needs
  • Assist with day-to-day activities and provide individualized support
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for students

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with special needs
  • Ability to manage behavior and build professional relationships with students
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
