A fabulous live-in housekeeping position has become available in Brookmans Park, Hertfordshire.

This friendly and professional family of three, including a young baby, is looking for an experienced housekeeper to maintain their household and ensure it runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. The family live in a beautiful newly renovated five-bedroom house, with a lovely garden.

You will be required to be on duty for seven hours a day, Monday to Friday (35 hours/week). Exact times to be mutually agreed. You will occasionally be required to work on a Saturday, but any additional hours will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.

You will have private use of the top floor of the house, which includes a bedroom, bathroom and living space with a television and tea/coffee making facilities.

The responsibilities will include:
**Housekeeping**: Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces throughout the home.

**Organisation and Tidying**:Maintain organisation in all areas of the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas. Ensure that items are stored appropriately, and clutter is minimised.

**Laundry and Wardrobe Management**: Manage laundry tasks including washing, ironing, and folding clothes, keeping wardrobes tidy.

**Meal Preparation**: Following an agreed weekly menu, assist with meal preparation as needed, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and light cooking, following any dietary requirements.

**Grocery Shopping and Errands**: Using a Monzo card (or similar) purchase groceries and household supplies according to the provided list. Run errands such as picking up dry cleaning or parcels.

**Maintenance Assistance**: Notify the homeowner of any maintenance issues or repairs needed within the household. Assist with minor maintenance tasks if capable, or coordinate with external service providers as necessary.

**Guest Assistance**: Prepare guest rooms for visitors and provide hospitality services when guests are present, including welcoming guests, offering refreshments, and ensuring their comfort.

You will need to have proven experience as a housekeeper or similar role, preferably in a private household setting, along with excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. You will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. You should be flexible to adapt to changing schedules and household needs. You should be trustworthy and discreet with respect for privacy and confidentiality. A uniform will be provided.

There is the possibility of travelling on holiday with the family.
