My client are an established and growing retail and leisure business. Recent developments have put the business on an exciting road of development.
This growth has led to the requirement of an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team and cover all areas of accounts administration and support management accounting. The role will be hands on and will offer a great opportunity for someone lookingto develop their skills. The role will have business partnering opportunities, providing key information for business growth.
The role will focus on managing all purchase ledger, sales ledger, reconciliations, generally preparing information for the month end process. The role will report and work closely with the local manager on a daily basis and report to the group CFO. Therole has excellent development potential and there is study support available if required.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage Purchase Ledger and processing invoices.
- Responsible for Sales Ledger and Credit Control.
- Ensure the bank reconciliation is kept up to date, on a daily basis.
- Support the month-end process, including management accounting.
- Dealing with departments / customer queries.
- Involvement in process and systems improvements projects.
Job Requirements
- AAT studier, achieved at least AAT Level 3 or Level 4 or studying CIMA / ACCA
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail & communications skills.
- Ability to work independently and pro-actively manage your work load.
