**About us**:
"Compliance Group are an exciting new business with PE investment seeking a high calibre **Purchase Ledger Assistant **with a strong administration background and high ambitions to join their team.

The business is growing at pace; this role will currently be responsible for one business within a division which contains 4 subsidiary businesses as part of the wider Group. There is an aggressive M&A strategy in place, and it's projected to grow the division from £7-15m turnover on Dec 22 to >£45m in 2026. The Group has acquired 4 businesses in the last 8 months, including 2 in this division. In 5 years, we anticipate growing by 135m. It will present opportunities for personal progression and development."

Due to the nature of the team, everyone is a team player, supporting and helping each other, creating a friendly working environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, working hours are 9 am until 5 pm, Monday to Friday onsite.

**Purchase Ledger Clerk brief about the role**:

- Processing supplier invoices daily - WD 2 deadline for month-end cut-off for purchase ledger
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Reconciliation to supplier statements
- Clear the backlog of missing invoices and tidy up supplier accounts, i.e. allocate payments and invoices.
- Managing transactional data for purchase ledger
- Resolving supplier account queries
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers
- Preparing weekly payment runs with supporting documentation to support payment requests, forwarding to the Finance Manager for sign-off to enter onto the online banking system ready for sign off
- Allocating BACS and cheque payments plus nominal postings
- Ensure banking is accurate
- Bank reconciliation and subsequent reports
- Credit card reconciliation
- Cover for Credit Controller and Sales Ledger Clerk during absences or as required
- Supporting the Credit Manager
- Ensuring controls are in place to ensure Compliance

**About you**:

- Effective communicator with a professional phone manner and comfortable interacting by telephone
- Self-motivated and focused with a flexible approach and ability to adapt to a continually changing environment
- Process-driven, organised and methodical in approach
- Sage 50 experience - Essential
- Proven experience in the relevant role

**Must have experience required / Certifications Required**:
Experience within a similar role

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
