In this exciting new role for the UK business, the **Data Enablement Lead** will be responsible for overseeing the UK’s data management and governance to develop a data management system that facilitates secure data collection and processing in line with the regulations and compliance procedures.
- They will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective data and analytics strategy, by encouraging a culture of data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.
- They will ensure data governance and standards are understood and applied across the business
- They will have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team to deliver an industry leading Data management solution, that will allow the business to have access to appropriate data in an efficient and effective manner.

Leadership of a high performing team

The Data Enablement team is a newly formed team of diverse and high performing data professionals. The team brings together the latest and approved methods and solutions to onboard, integrate and make available for stakeholders across the business to leverage and drive data driven decision making.

You will be part of the growing and open-minded Data team with fresh experience from other industries. You will enable the analytics and data science teams to turn data into insights.

**Key Activities for Data Enablement team**:

- Collaboration with the regional and global Data and Analytics IT teams to create an efficient and automated data processing environment for the UK
- On boarding of global and regional data sets into the Local data ecosystem, data visualisation and providing access to the appropriate stakeholders to leverage
- Local Data Set Management and Integration including IQVIA, Wholesaler, NHS Digital and Public health England data sets
- Ensuring Data governance and privacy standards applied across the business
- Data Analytics Centre of Excellence, supporting and implementing Regional Best Practice, including delivery of data science expertise to support advance analytics business requirements such as marketing mix optimisation, sensitivity and Return on Investment analysis

**Individual Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for defining, maintaining, and educating the team on process standards, objectives, and protocols.
- Supports team performance and activities in alignment with Data enablement goals and priorities. This person will have responsibility for guiding a team, mix of our company and outsource FTEs. A minimum of 3 Internal direct reports as well as contracted resources and strong collaboration with IT resource supporting data enablement.
- Continuously work with Business Insights and the Data operations team to help provide access to the core data needed to drive the business.
- Conducts data needs assessments using input from key business stakeholders, identifies gaps in current data strategy versus ideal state & prioritizes identified gaps
- The Data Enablement leader will field escalations, drive the team to maintain and manage the data architecture and set of data analytics tools, and work with the other areas of the broader SCO team to drive continuous improvement
- Leveraging Data Science capability to support promotional effectiveness, sensitivity and ROI modelling, multi-channel strategy analysis
- Supporting Innovative Segmentation and Targeting techniques, customer and geography restructures
- Key interactions will be with the Business analysts, Data Operations and the IT department.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in Science, Maths, Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, IT, MBA, or an equivalent scientific/commercial discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of knowledge in analyzing healthcare data sets, administrative data, electronic health records, and/or disease/patient registries for relevant quantitative and qualitative research.
- Working knowledge and experience of leadership in analytic teams
- Knowledge of working with life sciences data

Preferred:

- MS (or equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, IT, MBA, or an equivalent scientific/commercial discipline
- BA / BS in Quantitative Business Analytics, Quantitative Sciences, Engineering or Operations Research

Knowledge:

- Strong business acumen with a keen ability to understand how data (HCP, consumer, payer, patient, account, engagement, etc.) can be leveraged to inform critical commercial decisions and actions.
- Proven ability to analyze and assess the commercial value of data assets.
- Proven potential to effectively collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Global experience a plus.
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to identify innovative approaches to addressing data needs.
- Excellent presentation, analytics and communication skills, both written and oral, are required to synthesize key issues and communicate/persuade constituencies towards specific actions and initiative
