Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring preparation and execution of an Operation & Maintenance (O&M) management programme for our HV assets and equipment. You'll be required to lead and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver project plans, performance updates, safety briefs, and ultimately deliver on the Key Performance indicators set for our transmission assets. You’ll define and develop the management processes, in line with business objectives, and document these within our internal document storage systems, i.e., Doreco and Waywework.

You’ll be part of our HV & Transmission Operations team where you, together with your colleagues, will manage a competing set of objectives to fulfil the needs of the site managers, asset integrity maintenance plan, and physical resource constraints, as well as ensuring a 24/7 response to the management and rectification of defects. As a team, we aim to ensure global alignment and best in class HV services to implement the maintenance plan on the HV systems, which will directly influence HV asset integrity throughout our Global Portfolio.

It’s important to the UK West HV & Transmission Operations team that we achieve these department goals through team cooperation and collaboration to ensure team and individual successes. We also look to celebrate our successes to sustain the moral and work/life balance of the department members.

**You’ll play an important role in**:

- ensuring compliance with contractual obligations towards OFTO in UK and non-UK HV assets, incl. recruitment, development, and management of the HV Service team(s)
- controlling all onshore and offshore substation maintenance scopes, incl. management of budget to complete the work and rectify any defects that are identified
- producing performance and progress reports and delivering this info to relevant stakeholder in face to face and online meetings
- working alongside other regional support departments to arrange and manage complex projects under site outage conditions
- managing the safety of the UK HV teams by ensuring safety observations, near misses, and incidents are reported accordingly, and suitable actions carried out to avoid re-occurrence
- providing leadership, guidance, and instruction to the HV team members so they are empowered to achieve personal and department goals.

**To succeed in the role, you**:

- have a technical education, such as a HNC, a degree, or equivalent
- possess knowledge of electrical systems and HV equipment, preferably with knowledge of UK safety regulations relating to transmission work activities
- have experience with transmission, generation, or renewable energy
- possess HSE knowledge of UK legislation relating to both general safety and electrical safety
- have people leadership and management experience and seek to bring out the best in your colleagues
- have excellent influencing skills, with a personable, patient, and collaborative style.
