Driver/yard Person

Grantech Ltd are a leading fabricator of stone worktops. We are based in Buckley and cover the whole of the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a new Driver/Yard Operative to support our busy manufacturing areas.

Job description
- Ensuring a safe working area at all times
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within all yard and storage areas
- Remove stock from shipment delivery trucks
- Ensuring the correct and safe storage of slabs
- Ensure all old stock is accessible before new stock is used, supporting a FIFO (First In, First Out) process with old stock in front of new
- Ongoing stock counts on daily/weekly basis with check against recorded quantities to ensure complete accuracy at all times
- Tracking of stock and supplies that need restocking;
- Support other team members as required once yard duties are complete and in order.
- Skilled and proficient at entering and verifying data
- Driving between multiple depots to collect and deliver slabs
- Fork Lift Truck and other truck related qualifications are desirable but refresher training can be given
- Self-motivated, proactive individual
- Fully flexible with working hours, willing to work some weekends on an overtime basis
- Capable of working in a pressurized environment
- Adaptable and a good team player with demonstrable skills
- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Able to effectively communicate with team members
- Have an enquiring mind and show willingness to adopt new approaches
- Able to demonstrate good verbal and numerical skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.50-£12.50 per hour
