**Payroll Assistant**

Tate Recruitment are delighted to be working alongside a local authority business based in Brighton, looking for a Payroll/ HR Assistant to support the Human Resources & Organisational Development department.
- £12.47ph
- 3 month contract
- Full time
- Remote working after training (in Brighton)

**Role Purpose**:
To provide a high quality customer transnational HR service, dealing with a wide range of complex queries and providing support to managers relating to the recruitment and payment of all staff in accordance with statutory legislation, local guidelines and best practice.

**Skills**:

- Able to follow instructions methodically
- Good math skills - confidence using figures and dates in various formats
- Time management - able to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Understanding of Microsoft systems, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to pick up new software systems and navigate them with confidence
- Understanding of when to reach out for help or clarification to avoid errors being made
- Good communication skills
- Good admin skills

Training will be provided to carry out these tasks. This is a good opportunity for people that may be interested in finance, payroll, or doing something different, as although they will be doing a small part of payroll work they will be able to gain an understanding of what is involved.
