**Payroll Executive (Hybrid or Full Remote Working Available)**
**Part Time 24 hours per week**
We’re looking an experienced payroll executive to join our finance team based in our Brighton office. The role offers Hybrid working or the possibility to be fully remote if requested. As our payroll executive you will be solely responsible for processing multiple payrolls for our staff and pensioners.
Once finalized, this information is sent to our payroll provider for processing and payment. Other payroll related tasks such as uploading files to our pension provider and liaising with other stakeholders is also core to the role.
You will also be required to maintain and manage the monthly / annual timetables with relevant cut off and submission dates and communicate these to all relevant parties. This role works closely with our People Services team so being able to build strong working relationships will be beneficial.
**You will be responsible for**:

Maintaining accurate payroll information including processing of new employees, leavers and amendments to existing employee records.
*
Ensure employees are accurately paid for holiday pay, SSP, maternity pay, sales commission and overtime.
*
Ensure payroll is processed in a timely manner and all agreed deadlines are met.
*
Ensure that reviewers have time booked in their diaries.
*
Regularly ensure that all employees are paid above the real living wage.
*
Ensure the correct returns are made to HMRC and the pension provider.
*
Respond to payroll related queries from employees or 3rd parties (eg. the payroll provider, pension administrator) in a timely manner
*
Manage the Cycle to Work, Tech Loan, Holiday Purchase and any other staff benefit schemes, communicating when these are open to relevant staff
*
Keep up to date with any changes in legislation relating to staff remuneration and taxes.
*
Maintain process notes for all key tasks, updating if any tasks change.
*
Provide our external auditors with the relevant information they require in a timely manner.
*
Train the Financial Accountant so they are able to cover payroll in your absence.
*
Assist the Group Financial Controller at year end with any remuneration reporting queries they have.
*
Assisting the Senior Financial Accountant with the P11D/PSA process both annually and through-out the year**.**

Skills and Experience: *
Strong communication skills are required for this role as you will be actively working with many other areas of the business. Excellent attention to detail is a must, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively manage a busy and varied workload.
You must have experience of working with multiple payrolls and in addition have a progressive approach, able to identify improvements in ways of working.
