Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker in Schools

**Salary**: £12- £13 per hour

Axcis Education, on behalf of a reputable school in the St Helens area, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join their team. The school boasts great transport links and holds an Ofsted rating of 'Good.'

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide individualized support to students with mental health needs.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment conducive to the emotional well-being of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to implement tailored support strategies.
- Support the social and emotional development of students through various therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and intervention strategies.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working in a similar role, particularly within an educational setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting the mental health and well-being of students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Understanding of relevant legislation and policies related to mental health in schools.

Qualifications:

- Relevant qualifications in mental health support or counselling.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
