The SAW Pipe Mills at Liberty Pipes Hartlepool are the UK’s largest steel pipe mills, manufacturing heavy duty steel pipe primarily for the energy and construction industries both in the UK and worldwide.

The successful applicant will be joining a company that has a world class manufacturing capability, and a skilled workforce with a long history and global recognition.

Reporting to the Project Manager we are looking to recruit a Project Co-ordinator, based at Hartlepool.

**Key Duties include**
- Assist in co-ordination of activities within the mills relating to the progressing of materials to allow delivery of the finished product.
- Act as contact for visiting customer representatives as directed by line manager.
- Liaise with Works Records Department / Project Manager to confirm plate certificates are available prior to manufacture.
- Monitor work in progress through Tandem to ensure pipes on hold are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Monitor data daily throughout production, identify trends and areas for concern. Ensure any concerns are highlighted to the Project Manager for discussion at daily production meeting.
- Monitor mechanical testing status daily ensuring any issues are highlighted to Contract Management.
- Co-ordinate information, such as work in progress status, to enable progress reports to be prepared and submitted to client.
- Co-ordinate activities with client representative relating to final inspection of pipes for release.
- Verify with Works Records Department to ensure all relevant documents are available for presentation to client representatives for final approval and release of pipe.
- To assist in delivering HSE inductions to client representatives attending site.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge and experience of pipe manufacturing methods is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective organisational skills and a high attention to detail
- Ability to influence and persuade others at all levels
- Experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and other similar software packages
