- The University’s School of Allied and Public Health Professions is the University’s academic and professional home for the Allied Health Professions, and for all those interested in improving public health and well-being. Our mission is to facilitate, educate and innovate to improve lives. We achieve this through our research, and by providing a portfolio of courses and other learning opportunities that are creative, inspirational and empowering, and which develop knowledge, policy and practice.
- Our partnerships with service providers ensure we offer excellent practice education for our aspiring Allied Health Professionals. These roles will play a key role in developing placement opportunities across the region for our AHP students, and to support multidisciplinary learning within the workplace.
- We offer an exciting portfolio of applied healthcare courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels alongside internationally renowned applied research in implementation and diagnostic practice and policy. The School provides courses at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels for the Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Medical Ultrasound, Clinical Reporting, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic Science, Social Work, Speech & Language Therapy, and Operating Department Practice professions.
Uniquely, our courses pay special attention to sustainable practice, and the accreditation of our students’ leadership development. We also offer courses that reflect a Public Health perspective around health promotion, mental health and global public health. We have exciting plans for the growth of both our educational and research programmes and are keen to attract people who share our ambitions to make a difference. Our research work within the School focuses on the improvement of health and care services, health and well-being by co-producing solutions in close collaboration with service users and other stakeholders.

**The Role**
- The Practice Education Facilitator role will enable colleagues who wish to develop the educational pillar of their career to develop insights and confidence in the support of practice education. The roles will also provide the opportunity to develop transferable skills in networking, partnership-working, quality assurance, and in working across professional, organisational boundaries and settings. You will be well supported in the role by a School Director for Practice Learning and join a dynamic and ambitious team of Allied Health Professional Placement Leads, Course Teams, and Lecturers in Practice Learning. There will be opportunities to develop interprofessional skills and support the development of learning environments for other professionals.
