The Clinical Research Fellow will work in the Division of Cancer based at the Hammersmith Hospital Campus with a dynamic group engaged in evaluating novel therapeutics for cancer treatment.

**Duties and responsibilities**:
The primary role is to provide medical support for Early Phase Clinical Trials in Cancer, including advanced therapies such as cell and gene therapies, anti-cancer immunotherapy and intra
- tumoural therapeutics. The studies will be delivered within the Oncology Department at Imperial College NHS Trust as part of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Imperial BRC newly funded Oncology and Haematology Translational Research Centre and within the the NIHR Imperial Clinical Research Facility (ICRF). You will work directly with experienced senior researchers supporting the implementation of patient-based clinical trials across the earliest phases of clinical development (phase IA, IB and II) in an established clinical academic environment that benefits from both on-site acute medical services and experienced administrative support. You will also help to develop risk assessments and risk mitigation strategies for new early phase studies. You will also attend regular oncology clinics at the Hammersmith Site (Phase I clinics) to facilitate recruitment to clinical studies and further experience in the multi-disciplinary management of cancer patients.

The activity within the Unit will support training in drug development, study design, pharmacovigilance, project management, and conduct of clinical trials, as well as regulatory aspects of clinical experimentation. Access to an ePortfolio will be facilitated for post holders not in higher specialist training.

**Essential requirements**:

- Full GMC registration with licence to practice
- You will have a Degree in medicine or equivalent
- You will have minimum experience equivalent to FY2 or above
- You will be knowledgeable, curious and passionate
- You will be able to use your initiative to pursue opportunities to broaden your skills portfolio
- You should provide evidence of being able to work independently and as a part of a team

**Further information**:
This role is full time, fixed term for 12 months.

Salary upon appointment will also include an additional London Weighting Allowance of £2,162 per annum
