**Job overview**:
This is an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses with experience of working in an acute hospital setting to work 7.5 hour shifts flexibly between the hours of 1600 - 0200hrs Monday to Friday.
This is an excellent opportunity if you are looking to broaden your operational and leadership skills whilst continuing to utilise your clinical skills. You will need to be versatile and adaptable and be able to pro-actively work as part of a team and independently.
These posts are currently fixed term for 6 months. The service will be reviewed in April 2023 and the posts could become substantive if the team proves to be successful.
**Main duties of the job**:
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals who work well under pressure, are great team players as well as being self-motivated and able to work independently when needed. You will be a professional who truly understands the need for care, consideration and respect for our patients.
Having an overview of the available capacity and understanding of challenges you will be responsible for optimising the appropriate transfer, admission, and discharge of patients and for prompt escalation where there are any aspects of patient flow risks.
Working within Trust policies and procedures, and when capacity allows, the post holder will adopt a patient centred approach and adhere to the Trust Values to provide support to all wards ensuring our patients are at the centre of all decision making.
Excellent clinical and communication skills and being able to engage with staff from all disciplines whilst maintaining high professional standards are paramount to the success of this role as the post holder will play a key part in quality improvement and patient experience.

- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Diploma/Degree in nursing studies(or equivalent nursing qualification and experience)
- Post registration experience of caring for patients in an acute setting
**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Knowledge and understanding of the safe transfer of patients across the hospital site.
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate ability to assess, plan and implement and evaluate care of the patient
**Desirable criteria**:
- Demonstrates ability to work within a team.
- Ability to coordinate your workload and supervise members of the team, ensuring high quality, safe and effective patient care
