Autism Care Assistant for a Young Boy P/t@

**To provide support to a young boy with autism, accompanying family, out in the community. 4 hours per week in term time and 8 hours per week in school holidays.
- We are currently looking to recruit a Support Worker to provide support to get out into the community safely. You will support to attend places like soft play, going to the park and out for walks.
- You will get to know his communication needs so you will need to be confident and pro-active.
- Job role will be discussed further in interview, along with when hours would be worked however family can be flexible.
- Experience working with children or young people with Autism would be an advantage, however you would learn on the job so this isn’t essential, the most important thing is that you have the right personality.

**Driver with own transport preferred, but not essential. Petrol costs would be reimbursed for using your car for work purposes.**
- Hours:
**4 hours per week term time**

**8 hours per week school holidays**
- MAIN DUTIES
- To support with taking part in activities in the community such as soft play
- Ensure safety of the child when out and about, being alert to any dangers

**Rate of pay**:

- £11.91 per hour. Holidays are 5.6 weeks per year, pro-rata

- Be punctual and reliable
- Be flexible
- Have a happy, positive and caring nature.
- Respect confidentiality.

**An Enhanced DBS Check is required, cost to be met by employer.**
