Maintenance Team Leader

AWE is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Team Leader to provide leadership and supervision of asset maintenance delivery craft and support team(s). You will be responsible for the delivery of asset maintenance to ensure Vehicle/plant is reliable and available to meet the corporate, functional and Tech Centre programme, whilst ensuring it’s delivered in compliance with legislation, licence conditions, corporate and engineering process and standards.
Location - Reading area
Package - £37,860- £48,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

**Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership to Asset Maintenance Delivery personnel (Shape the future to inspire trust, build effective relationships to clarify purpose, energise the team to deliver results, and be a model for personal excellence, integrity and accountability).- Appraise, train, develop and certify the competence of resource in accordance with corporate SQEP requirements.- Manage and ensure adequate resource availability to meet planned and reactive maintenance delivery tasks informing the Maintenance Manager of any availability/shortfalls.- Ensure continuous management and delivery of the maintenance programme as required by business requirements and Maintenance Managers direction, assisting with the provision of regular and informal departmental reports.- Maintain, demonstrate and promote high standards in environmental, health & safety management, security and quality management.- Working alongside AWE Transport manager to ensure compliance with DVLA and Traffic commissioner requirements.
What will you need to be considered?- An Engineering Apprenticeship with a relevant, recognised qualification ONC, ND or NVQ level 3 (preferred but not essential)- Strong practical experience of vehicle /plant maintenance- Proven fault-finding skills.- PC literate- Supervisory, leadership and performance management skills- Accredited Risk Assessor (preferred but not essential)- Conversant in Health and Safety legislations- AMS or equivalent Asset management & maintenance systems and procedures in line with Licence conditions- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
