Our client is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their team on a 12 month FTC basis;
**Duties include;**
- Checking payroll data & expenses for employees
- Processing high volume payroll data in a team
- Respond to payroll queries both written and verbally
- Manual calculation of SSP & SMP for employees
- Creating payment files using Excel
- Liaise with HMRC regarding PAYE queries
- Thorough reconciliation of various payroll reports to ensure overall accuracy
- Processing starters and leavers
- Checking and amending data ahead of deadlines
- Any other payroll administration duties

**You will have;**
- Previous experience within a payroll department
- Great attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with highly developed customer facing skills
- Ability to work under pressure to deadlines using own initiative
- Strong computer skills including Excel
