**Position Overview**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Merchandising Admin Assistant to join our Range, forecasting & Stock planning team on a full time basis at our Head Office in South Shields. This role will be key to supporting the department to ensure the business has the right amount of stock in the right place at the right time in order to meet demand.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Supply forecasting templates in line with Forecasting Timetable to Sales Managers / Distributors with sales history, open order information to allow them to forecast as accurate as possible
- Updating Buying Documents with updated forecasts.
- Support Analysts to ensure customer fulfilment is achieved.
- Create & Manage Buy Summary seasonally, alongside Supply Chain.
- Ensure commitments are sized in line with Critical Path dates supplied by Supply Chain
- Create Capacity Orders and Purchase Orders in the M3 ERP system.
- Create and manage distribution orders to allow for international stock shipments.
- Monitor business reports to ensure each markets is giving the best service to their customers.
- Undertake any other reasonable activity, as may be required by senior management.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Strong Excel skills with experience of creating formulas and pivot tables is essential.
- Competent level of IT packages : Microsoft Office
- An interest in reporting and analysing information
- Good communication skills to build strong relationships internally and externally of the department.
- Supply chain background, or a knowledge of supply chain base.
- Strong analytical skills
- Individuals must be able to demonstrate and attention to detail
- Experience in a similar role would be beneficial
- Strong organisational and time management ability.
**Qualifications**:
Essential requirements
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel
- G.C.S.E in Maths
- Experience working in a related role or educated to degree level
Desirable requirements
- Business studies qualification at G.C.S.E or above
