Job description:
**Accounts Payable - CIS - Team Leader - Wigan**

The Accounts Payable Team Leader assumes responsibility for the quality of the team's work, and lead on the day to day management of the team; mentoring, coaching, setting targets etc.

**What you will be doing**
- Oversee the review, verification and approval of Subcontract Payment Certificates, ensuring compliance is being kept to HMRC Rules and Regulations with regards to the Construction Industry Scheme & Domestic Reverse Charge.
- Oversee the processing of Subcontract Invoices, Credit Notes, ensuring the different processes for the varied vendor groups are being adhered to..
- Ownership and approval of all aspects of subcontract payments, ensuring compliance is being kept to HMRC Rules and Regulations with regards to the Construction Industry Scheme.
- Ensure Accounts payable month-end & year-end closing procedures are completed efficiently, accurately and per the group timetable..
- Prepare monthly management information, reports and analysis as required.
- Ensure Statement Matching is utilised in order to produce monthly statement reconciliations for key suppliers and that KPI’s are produced.
- Review and Team Lead Sign Off on the Group CIS returns, ensuring CIS statements are sent in a timely manner.
- Ensure reporting and reconciliations are is completed in an accurate and timely manner and as per Group Timetable.
- Ensuring effective resolution for subcontract account escalations.
- Ensure VAT Receipts are being returned and uploaded into 365.
- Own, co-ordinate and review UAT when required.
- Ensure 1-2-1’s and team meetings are held with team members on a monthly basis.
- Ensure Subcontract Internal Control Framework is kept up-to-date.
- Assist with internal and external audit.
- Be front facing, supporting all business units, joint ventures and specialist functional teams.

**Who we are looking for**
- Construction background with exposure to the Construction Industry Scheme.
- Domestic Reverse Charge VAT within the Construction Industry..
- Ideally experience within Shared Services.
- Excellent PC Skills, including Excel.along with excellent Communication Skills.
- Confident in decision making, organisation and time-management.
- Team Leading or Training in Team Leading is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn and develop is essential.
