MGF have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Accountant with a strong academic background to join our team based at our head office in Ashton-In-Makerfield, Wigan. The role will give you an understanding of all aspects of accounts and we will support you in pursuing a professional accountancy qualification.

**Responsibilities**

Assist the work of the Accounts Payable, Management Accounts and the Cost Analysis Teams whilst developing knowledge and understanding of the Company’s operations. The role will include:

- Dealing with invoices received from suppliers.
- Maintenance of registers for fixed assets, leases etc
- Control account reconciliations.
- Completion of monthly cost analysis reports.
- Other month end procedures as required to enable the timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts by the team.
- Assistance to the rest of the Accounts Team with other general duties (such as maintaining the cash book) when required.

**Core Requirements**
- Strong academic background achieving good grades throughout education.
- Good IT Skills and the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and as part of team.
- Self-motivated to achieve deadlines.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

Previous experience in an accounts/office environment and an interest in pursuing their professional training/development would be desirable but not essential.

**Salary**: £18,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
