Senior Ndt Inspector

This role reports directly into the Chief Inspector and requires a minimum level of supervision. The purpose of the role is to control and coordinate the NDT function including equipment, personnel, Subcontractors and the associated NDT workload.

**Duties will include**:

- Ensuring that NDT resource requirements can be met, either internally or through external sources (Management of NDT Sub Contractors), liaising with the Chief Inspector to meet current workload. Part of this is to be able to manage activities in accordance with work centres ‘work to’ lists.
- Co-ordinate the in process NDT inspection and surveillance of products through manufacture, ensuring that wherever required inspections are undertaken.
- Liaise with Production, Production Engineering and Engineering Support Teams on product issues.
- Identifying root cause and preventative action for non-conformances, and to be a Problem Solving lead if required.

**Essential skills, experience and knowledge requirements**:

- NDT Qualifications to ASNT & PCN.
- Knowledge of NDT inspection methods / processes.
- Have a good level of MTS product knowledge and inspection techniques.
- Have excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with internal customers and departments.
- Have a methodical and organised work ethic in order to prioritise work and set and meet deadlines on a weekly basis.
- Have a good working knowledge of MS Office.
