Senior Inspector

This role reports directly into the Chief Inspector and requires a minimum level of supervision. The purpose of the role is to plan and organise the inspection department to ensure targets for delivery, cost and quality are achieved on a regular basis.

**Duties will include**:

- Day to day responsibility for the planning and delegation of work, in line with operations planning schedules, to meet customer requirements and project timelines.
- Supervising all inspection processes in line with the work to list/customer schedule, engineering drawings and best practice guidance, whilst considering health and safety, COSHH and quality regulations.
- Liaising and communicating with other departments as necessary to build strong working relationships across the business.
- Being responsible for training needs analysis and developing and managing the departmental plans that ensure appropriate levels of skill and flexibility are maintained within the department.
- Continually looking for ways in which to improve processes.
- Problem solving and planning to achieve goals and meet department targets.

**Essential skills, experience, and knowledge requirements**:

- Be a time-served Inspection Engineer.
- Have a good level of MTS product knowledge and inspection techniques.
- Have excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with internal customers and departments.
- Have a methodical and organised work ethic in order to prioritise work and set and meet deadlines on a weekly basis.
- Have the ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
- Have a good working knowledge of MS Office.

**Salary**: £36,168.00-£39,297.00 per year
