**Description**

This role will support the smooth running of all Airport Operations and the Terminal building monitoring all aspects of the Terminal operation using a variety of systems.

The role is essential to the effective flow of information and the effective implementation of contingencies in the event of an incident.

To act as an oversight for the Security operation and maintain a supervisory role for all Out of Hours Security operations.

Working hours are 12 hours shifts on a 4 on 4 off days and nights pattern

This role is a fixed term maternity cover expected to last for 18 months.

Key Responsibilities*

**Specific Responsibilities and Objectives**
- Alarm response
- CCTV monitoring inside and outside of terminal.
- Access and egress control.
- Communication - liaising with staff/security and other control authorities (such as DfT, Emergency Services) as well as local Government and transport services.
- Collaborating closely with the Airport Management team.
- Oversight and dispatch of Mobile patrols from the Airport Control Centre.
- Oversight of the surveillance of the Critical part of the Aerodrome
- Access/ Egress control (Temporary Escorted Passes).
- Public Address System (announcements).
- Provide and maintain an excellent standard of customer service.
- Ensure compliance of all CAA, HSE and LSACL procedures at all times, keeping fully updated with changes to procedures or new procedures.
- Ensure all paperwork and administrative duties are completed in a timely manner and relevant information is forwarded where appropriate.
- Work cohesively as part of the team so as to maximise co-operation leading to the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation.
- Issue passes in accordance with regulatory/company requirements
- Report writing
- Carry out any other reasonable task as requested by Line Management

**Security Operations**
- Coordinate the delivery of a compliant security operation that reduces the risk to the customer, by ensuring that the standards set by the DfT/CAA are met in full
- Supervise the overall performance of the team and take proactive measures to ensure the best provision of security services within the scope of the position.
- Ensure a knowledge and understanding of all appropriate security responsibilities as detailed within the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Airport Security Program (ASP)
- Liaise with Security Shift Controller or authorised deputy upon handover of the security operation during daytime operational hours

**Compliance**
- Follow all legal and statutory obligations applicable to this role
- ensure that systems and procedures introduced by the company are effectively implemented and adhered
- Act as a focal point to ensure compliance from all aspects

**Qualifications - Core**:

- GSS Level 1
- Must be able to attend and successfully pass GSS/L2 course

**Qualifications - Desirable**:

- GSS/L2

**Experience - Core**:

- Supervising a team
- Sound understanding of the passenger screening process
- Quality Assurance monitoring, mentoring and assessments of operations and personnel.
- Using computer packages
- Detailed understanding of industry standards, security related technologies and screening equipment
- Collation and verification of all operational, regulatory and company documentation

**Experience - Desirable**:

- Previous Security Supervisory experience, preferably in Aviation.
- Experience of rosters and operational planning.
- Dealing with Emergency Services
- Investigation Training

**Key Performance Indicators**:

- Ensure all Airline Service Level Agreements/Key Performance Indicators are met or exceeded
- Compliance of all CAA, HSE, Airline(s) and LSACL procedures
- Leadership, Delivery and ownership of providing an excellent and efficient standard of customer service to both internal and external parties
- Ability to perform all tasks with accuracy, efficiency and in a safe manner within defined time constraints
- Maintain compliance with CAA, DfT and all other statutory requirements of a Directed Aerodrome
