Welder/fabricator

Responsibilities:

- To manage work loads and ensure work demands is done to a high standard in a time frame for members of staff on the factory floor.
- Fabricate and weld metal components according to specifications including stainless steel.
- Perform stick welding and operate power tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the sequence of operations
- Use basic math skills to calculate measurements and dimensions
- Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards
- Operate hand tools and equipment such as grinders, saws, and drills
- Work with sheet metal and other materials to fabricate products
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

**Skills**:

- Proficient in welding techniques, including stick welding
- Ability to operate power tools and equipment used in fabrication for gates, railings and handrails.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Mechanical knowledge for understanding equipment operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in fabrication

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.41-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.5 per week
