We are currently looking for an eagle-eyed deal spotter and chief shopper to come and work with us in our Supply Chain Manager role.
**The Person**
As with everything we do - different definitely tastes better Same goes for the person we are looking for in the Supply Chain Manager role. You’ll ideally be an experienced negotiator within the ingredients, packaging and consumables sector with a proven backgroundmanaging co-packing and co-manufacturing partners. You will have experience delivering strategic focus on strengthening our relationship with our suppliers, sourcing the best and most cost-effective ingredients, packaging and consumable helping to improvethe P&L across the business.
Although you will work closely with all department especially procurement, this role is stand-alone so you will need to be a strong problem solver, decision maker, influencer and starter-finisher.
**The Role Brief**
As Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Sourcing & negotiating on key new ingredients, packaging and consumables
- In particular those key ingredients, packaging and consumables that require a long-term contract or are at risk of big swings in supply (from pandemic, drought, war, Brexit, etc)
- Purchasing cost improvements, including reviewing, challenging and improving costs across all raw ingredients, packaging & consumables
- Working with the Procurement Manager to routinely examine and test existing supplier contracts
- Track and report key metrics to reduce expenditure and improve profit margins
- Aid TFP in leading the charge and setting a new standard for responsible production:

- Reduction of plastic packaging usage, with particular emphasis on our own branded packaging
- Reduction of virgin plastic usage
- Explore alternative environmental projects
- Using sales forecasts and industry publications, work with Procurement anticipating advanced purchasing and manage lead times & stock levels
- Reduce the unnecessary variety of raw materials & packaging by questioning NPD’s requirements and requests. Challenge suppliers MOQ’s.
- Manage all co-packing projects as the primary point of contact (Alongside Head of Ops), liaising and working closely with all co-manufacturing partners ensuring all aspects of the projects are covered and a smooth logistics network is created andmaintainedwith no delays down to late ingredients for packaging
- Responsible for arranging consistent and permissible logistics and haulier services - Point of communication for if action is required
