**Junior Company Security Controller**

**Salary**: £60-65k per annum

Location: Anywhere in UK (hybrid)

**Business Location**:
All locations throughout the UK will be considered you will need to travel to projects, offices, consultant, customers and other offices as required.

**Role purpose**

This hands-on role as (HMG) Security Controller will work closely with management as well as with other internal and external specialists (including information technology, consultants and suppliers) to deliver a security management strategy that meets thecompany’s needs and those of our public and private customers.

**Key Accountabilities**:
The primary responsibility for the Security Controller involves co-ordinating security management and requirements across the businesses, developing security policy and strategy documentation on matters of Corporate governance and assurance, IT system compliance,Personnel security and assurance (vetting), Security Management Plans for individual projects and IT system.

**Other key responsibilities include**:
- For Construction, the principle security incident manager, co-ordinating the response to security incidents, both physical and procedural
- Working closely with the Head of Information Risk, the Company Secretary, DPO and the IT Security Officer when IT security incidents occur
- Working with the DPO whenever personal information has been lost or incorrectly shared or exposed
- Identifying and understanding the risks and appropriate corresponding controls to maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability of information and assets.
- Support project teams and site-based security resources to develop detailed logistics and security minded delivery strategies for our projects.
- Ensure our supply chain complies with the appropriate security controls
- Security management and providing detailed management of security requirements for regional offices, including security advice to our clients on matters of operational security planning and strategy where this is part of our scope of works or critical tosuccess.
- Act as Security Controller for our businesses across the UK and take responsibility for generating and maintaining Security Procedures, Manuals, Instructions and SyOps governing our security management, with the aim of obtaining Facilities Security Clearance(FSC).
- Assist in the development and management of additional security requirements for Other Government Departments and specific projects.
- Act as Information Security Officer for Construction in collaboration with the Head of Information Risk, the DPO, the IT Security Officer and our IT team for generating, maintaining and ensuring that Accredited Document Sets, IT SyOPs, etc are current andcompliant for systems that hold UK Protectively Marked Information.
- Provides a source of general security advice including personnel security good practice, general crime and fraud prevention and arising security matters in our offices.
- Provide security advice and audit services covering suppliers and sub-contractors that deliver work on HMG projects ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
**Skills & Experience**

The Company Security Controller will ideally be an experienced security professional with understanding of the civil service, UK Defence, local authority, central government and public sector compliance requirements.

You will possess both drive and tenacity to deliver results with a high attention to detail, capable of working alone and as part of a team. You will be adaptable and flexible in your approach as you work to deadlines and demands. With your proactive attitudeyou will always seek opportunities for continuous improvement.

- HMG (His Majesty’s Government) security policy, JSP 440, DCPP etc
- Personnel and Physical Security
- IT security controls and understanding data/asset security requirements
- Working with the Head of Information Risk to setup the integrated security management regime
- Setting up and controlling a Facility Security Clearance (FSC)
- Setting up and delivering an awareness and training regime, providing to Board Director through to site operative.
**Qualifications**

Degree or HNC or any other skills or attributes:

- Have appropriate Security related qualifications (eg, DISA, MoD ESyO, CISSP, CISM, CISA)
