HR Business Partner

My client is looking to hire a HR Business Partner.
This is an exciting role that has come around due to expansion within the team of 9 HR employees. My client is looking for someone with professional HR experience including a good understanding of employment law, guiding managers on activities such as disciplinaries,sickness management, case work and qualified OR studying a CIPD Level 5.
**Job purpose**: To proactively assist managers in a group of service areas to achieve their service objectives through the provision of expert HR advice and assistance and work flexibly with other HR staff to ensure an effective HR serviceis provided to the organisation.
- 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, 3 days in the office 2 days working from home, 4.30pm finish on a Friday

**Responsibilities:**
- Provide a comprehensive HR service
- Assist managers in achieving their strategic objectives in relation to their workforce by providing expert HR advice on organisational reviews, redundancy, TUPE transfers, the creation of shared services or other organisational change and to deal with anycasework which arises from these.
- Guide managers on the handling of disciplinary, capability or grievance cases
- Keep abreast of developments in employment law, case law and the latest professional HR practices to ensure that the quality of professional advice received by line managers is of a high professional standard
- Assist Corporate Heads in reducing sickness absence and to promote employee well-being
- Provide guidance to managers on effective performance management and talent management
- To provide sound professional advice on grading and remuneration issues
- In liaison with managers and the Recruitment and Retention Business Partner, guide managers on the most effective methods of dealing with skills gaps and recruitment and retention issues
- Guide managers on performance management and on the various methods of developing their staff including ensuring that service training plans are submitted to the Senior HR Business Partner annually as part of the Business planning process
- Participate in corporate training sessions on HR issues as requested
- Provide coverage within HR for other Business Partners in their absence
- Participate in corporate HR projects or initiatives
**Experience**
- Substantial experience in providing comprehensive HR service to managers_
- Handling disciplinaries, capability and sickness cases
- Dealing with grievances
- Advising managers on organisational reviews and organisational change issues
- TUPE
- Law around recruitment and equalities
- Good knowledge of sound HR practices
- Sound practical experience of acting as a change agent(e.g. guiding managers on handling organisational reviews, changing terms and conditions etc)
- Knowledge of performance management and staff development
- Experience of providing a generalist HR service to line managers on a range of HR issues
- Good experience of identifying effective solutions to range of people management problems
- Ability to align and design HR solutions to support business strategy
