Aston Academy are seeking a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to learn and work towards achieving a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. Working with students in mainstream lessons, supporting them to access lessons and achieve their full potential.

**What will the apprentice be doing?**
- To support students in their learning individually or in small groups as directed by the class teacher
- To help raise standards of achievement for all students
- To encourage the social and emotional development of students
- To encourage students to participate in all aspects of school life
- To help students to become more independent
- To promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students
- To consistently promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour

**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard Qualification
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
- Become fully adept in supporting teachers with the planning of activities, as well as creating own activity plans
- Amplify knowledge of safeguarding and emergency procedures
- Understand legislation with regard to confidentiality, data protection, and information sharing

**What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?**

Possible progression into full-time employment for the right applicant
