Reporting into and supporting the Senior Pensions Governance Manager (SPGM), the Pensions Governance Coordinator (PGC) will be responsible for the coordination of all activity relating to meetings of the Trustee Board and its various sub-committees. The PGC will update Board documents, including business plans, actions logs and activity planners. They shall support the SPGM in all matters relating to Board governance and compliance. They will be responsible for tracking compliance with the Combined Code of Practice and for the implementation of changes and improvements arising from the Code.

Owing to the constant cycle of change, much of the Trustee’s work is project based. A key element of this role will be to support the SPGM in tracking project activity and following up on actions. Experience of the key principles of good project management will be an advantage.

**The difference you’ll make.**
- Supporting the Senior Pensions Governance Manager in ensuring the Scheme is efficiently and properly run.
- Maintaining the Scheme Events Calendar, and supporting the delivery of Trustee training activity
- Coordinating activity in respect of compliance with the Combined Pensions Code of Practice
- Liaising with Trustees on logístical arrangements and meeting support, including expenses.
- Gathering and upload papers onto the meeting pack portal, as well as supporting the delivery of Trustee training activity
- Building effective relationships with project resources (internal and external).

**What you’ll bring.**
- Demonstrable experience in providing pensions governance support either in-house or on a consulting basis.
- A good working knowledge of pension scheme governance and current pensions issues.

**It would also be nice for you to have.**
- Experience of the activities normally carried out on a defined benefit pension scheme. Familiarity with the Pensions Regulator's Codes of practice and guidance.
- Project management experience
- Excellent communication skills.
- A team player who can work collaboratively but also independently.

The is a full-time permanent position offering flexible working between home and the office.
