Tobacco Dependency Lead, fixed term for 12 months - Maternity cover

You will be accountable to the Stop Free Operational Lead and have line managerial responsibility for the Tobacco Dependency Advisors.

You will work as part of the tobacco dependency team at West Cumberland Hospital and Cumberland infirmary in a clinical and strategic role to develop and provide stop smoking treatment, counselling and support to NHS patients and clients in a variety of settings. You will be required to support the day to day running of the onsite tobacco treatment service to ensure safe, well organized and evidenced based care is offered routinely to all identified smokers and provided to all that access the service. You will provide support in a range of settings as required for the delivery of smoking cessation service. Additionally, you will support the delivery of the service key performance and reporting indicators for tobacco dependency.

**Duties include**:
Support the delivery of the trust-wide tobacco dependency treatment implementation plan

Provide high quality stop smoking behavioural support and pharmacological advice in accordance with the NSCST (National Centre for Smoking Cessation Training) guidelines to those wishing to stop smoking

Provide tobacco dependency treatment and support across the acute hospital to support the delivery of the service key performance and reporting indicators for tobacco dependency.

Maintain a high standard of work and prioritise own workload according to the needs of the service
