**Position Summary**: The Warden for Sheltered Housing is responsible for creating a welcoming, secure, and supportive environment for all residents. Through thoughtful engagement, participation, and care, the Warden facilitates an atmosphere that fosters trust, confidence, and the holistic well-being of those under supervision.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Creating a Positive Environment**:

- Establish and maintain a warm, friendly, and secure atmosphere within the housing facility.
- Engage with residents in a way that instills trust, reassures their safety, and promotes confidence.

**Leisure and Developmental Activities**:

- Plan, organize, and participate in various games and leisure activities tailored to the residents' interests and abilities.
- Aim to encourage emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development through these activities.

**Resident Well-being and Support**:

- Ensure all material needs of the residents are met in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Attend to resident concerns, working diligently to resolve issues and meet their unique needs.
- Provide individual counselling or group therapy sessions as required, ensuring emotional and mental well-being.

**Community and Family Engagement**:

- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with members of the neighboring community to foster a sense of inclusion and mutual respect.
- Actively communicate and engage with the residents' family and friends, ensuring they are informed of their loved ones' well-being and any significant events or developments.

**Inter-Team Communication**:

- Maintain regular contact with other housing staff, ensuring a cohesive and unified approach to care and support.
- Collaborate with social workers to address specific resident concerns, create care plans, and ensure the overall welfare of the residents.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Accurately maintain resident records, ensuring all data is up-to-date and reflects their current status.
- Draft detailed reports on resident progress, any challenges faced, and the measures taken to address those challenges.
- Ensure all documentation is in line with regulatory and organizational guidelines.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in sheltered housing, elder care, or a similar role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A compassionate, understanding, and patient disposition.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and professionalism.
- Familiarity with basic counselling techniques and group facilitation.
- Knowledge of best practices in sheltered housing and resident care.

**Working Conditions**:
