Purpose of the Job:
Build a broad technical relationship with a key strategic partner to ensure the successful identification, documentation and harvesting of intellectual property fundamental to enabling our business model which will require routine travel or becoming residentat a partners site.
Activities are expected to include: Recognition and harvesting of developed joint foreground IP within the project and any associated enabling background IP, development and completion of structured documentation to support the capture and harvesting of identifiedIP, support the effective dissemination of gathered IP within the business recognising the scope enabled within the partner specific agreement, machine specification and documentation development, PAT & FAT test planning and implementation, factory floor support,capital expenditure planning, line fault diagnosis and resolution, line balancing. The Technology Transfer Engineer will also provide floor support during operations of manufacturing campaigns, review process data to ensure operational consistency and providesupport for investigations.
Key Interfaces:

- OEM: Working with OEM's on key commercial and strategic programmes where it is expected significant IP will be generated
- The Business: to ensure generated foreground and relevant background IP is correctly identified, managed and transferred to specific partner commercial agreement.

Key Accountabilities:

- Working with stakeholders to support the delivery of Technology Transfer plans, securing stakeholder-buy-in; building ad-hoc teams to facilitate successful transfer.
- Working with the IP Committee to support IP harvesting activities and being champion for agreed implementation aspects as required.
- Manage IP- track IP space, release of existing IP, creation new IP and support patent process.
- Provide technical support and training of partner manufacturing personnel.
- Technical oversight of documentation, reports and confidential information provided to OEM partners.
- Delivery and Risk: Working with programme management to ensure technical and delivery risks are effectively managed.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

- BEng/MEng in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years proven Manufacturing Engineering Experience
- Experienced Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
- Hands on engineer with good technical understanding
- Aptitude for both Mechanical and Electrical work
- Ability to work closely with production technicians to train and fine tune processes
- Ability to produce clear and concise reports to summarise work packages
- Delivery-focused and highly motivated, capable of handling multiple priorities and high-volume environments
- Design for Manufacture understanding
- Automated production line design and build
- Value Add/Non-Value Add analysis
