Job Role

At MIB our people are passionate about making roads safer by getting uninsured and hit-and-run drivers off our roads. Working in partnership with the Police, Insurers and Government our collective aim is to make it a thing of the past but, until that’s accomplished, we’re here to compensate victims quickly, fairly and compassionately.

Last year we helped more than 42,000 people struck by uninsured and hit-and-run drivers and paid over £400 million in compensation to support victims rebuild their lives.

Our work and impact stretch further too. We manage services for the insurance industry and government to help keep costs down for UK motorists, and we manage the Insurance Fraud Bureau, which brings together insurers, partners and law-enforcement agencies in the fight against fraud.

Key Outputs
- Monitoring the HR, recruitment and L&D mailboxes and responding to queries
- Updating vacancy data for reporting purposes
- Collecting right to work documentation and preparing contracts and offer letters
- Ensuring that all necessary pre-employment vetting checks are completed as part of the pre-boarding process
- Support Line Managers to ensure they understand their responsibility in the onboarding and induction process
- Assist with all Learning and Development administration including resetting of passwords and responding to queries on the L&D system
- Ensure the leaver process is adhered to, ensuring resignations are acknowledged in a timely manner and any outstanding leave is calculated correctly
- Arranging exit interviews

Qualifications and Education

Skills and Knowledge
- Previous experience in an HR administration role is essential
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise and juggle a busy workload
- Proactive at all times and able to work on own initiative without supervision
- Understanding of various HR software systems
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office such as outlook, word, excel etc
- Understanding of HR legislation is desirable
- Professional and confident with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to form effective relationships with people at all levels and to communicate well
- Diplomatic and discrete with the ability to handle highly sensitive information

Salary £25,000 per annum
Grade 7
35 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
IT kit supplied to you
£320 (before tax) start up allowance
Hybrid working: 2 days per week from our office in Milton Keynes and 3 days from home.
