**Head of Data Architecture - up to £77,000 - Hybrid (One Day a Week in Newport)**

**The Opportunity**

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a unique Civil Service Organisation who are currently undergoing a very interesting digital transformation project.

We are supporting them to recruit a Head of Data Architecture who will be responsible for directing the organisations vision for how data should be used. You'll report in to the Head of Data Management Team, and through Leading a team of Data Architects be responsible for understanding and expressing how to make data access and use more efficient.

**What the Head of Data Architecture will be doing**
You will be working to evolve and upgrade the data strategy for the organisation through strategic thinking and innovation.
- Lead a Team of Data Architects - setting goals for career development and technical direction.
- Define data strategies and policies - guiding others on how to follow these - And upgrading existing strategies.
- Designing multiple data models
- Communicating complex data as clear solutions.
- Translating business problems into data design, while predicting barriers and opportunities

**What the successful Head of Data Architecture will bring to the team**
You will have proven experience as leader in technology, and in development of complex data strategies. You will know how to deliver data change at an enterprise level.
- You will have led and managed teams including direct reports and their subordinates.
- Experience designing enterprise level data strategy, including process and performance improvements
- High quality knowledge of Microsoft technologies - Power BI, MSSQL, and Azure.
- Ability to build collaborative networks of stakeholders, and effectively communicate data challenges, leading to a continuous improvement culture
