**Job Role**
Our health care assistants will:
- provide a high level of care to the residents
- assist those that require it with:
- Getting in and out of bed
- Washing
- Dressing
- Toilet requirements
- Their personal care
- assist those with mobility problems
- ensure that the preparation, cooking and serving of food meet the required standards
- initiate and participate in recreational activities
- prompt and assists the residents with their medication when required
As a Senior Health Care Assistant you will also lead a small team to ensure high quality of care and life for all the residents. You will also be required to do some administration.
You will have minimum 2 years care experience and NVQ level 3 in Health & Social care is required and the company will work with you so you can achieve level 5.
**Education, Skills and qualifications**
- Skills required are:
- the ability to carry out Care Plans
- Good verbal and written skills
- Good observational skills
- The ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships
- NVQ Health Social Care Level 3
- 2 Years Care assistant experience
- A knowledge in the following areas is **desirable**.
- Health and safety
- Manual handling
- Fire safety
- Vulnerable adult protection procedures
- Anti-discriminatory practices
- Understanding of working within a multicultural environment.
