Cromwell, United Kingdom Victoria and Albert Museum Full time

Young V&A will open as a new museum of design and creativity for children and young people in Bethnal Green, East London, on 1 July 2023.

Drawing on our internationally renowned collections of art, design and performance, Young V&A will be the UK's premier national museum developed with, and for, young people - a place where you can learn, create, and debate together, and design for tomorrow.

We aim to **inspire **children and young people to be active citizens and creative change-makers in their communities; to **empower **educators to drive forward creative education in art, design, and performance from early years to secondary school; to **connect **young people with the creative ingenuity of designers, entrepreneurs, innovators and inventors, and each other, and to **influence **the sector through child-centred museum practice.

A rare permanent senior role has opened in our small and versatile team. We are looking for a dynamic and committed creative educator with a sound knowledge of museum and classroom practices. They will shape and deliver an innovative and engaging programme for schools in the exciting opening year of YV&A, establishing the museum as a vital resource for creative learning.

We are seeking an experienced practitioner with an understanding of practice, pedagogy and curriculum, and with a proven track record in delivering creative learning to school visitors in a museum or equivalent setting. The post-holder will strategically develop and deliver formal learning programmes, balancing accessible provision for learners experiencing barriers or requiring access support, with a sustainable income-generating programme. The post-holder will be confident with object-based learning, and will actively seek the involvement of curators, designers, artists and other experts to enrich the schools programme. The Senior Producer will be keen to use their experience to provide inclusive, innovative and engaging programmes. They will be an outward-looking practitioner who is keen to nurture new communities of practice, and who will build relationships with external and internal collaborators to drive forward the vision and purpose for learning at the V&A.

**Interviews will be held on 19 and 23 June 2023
