**Domestic Abuse Outreach Officer**

**Contract**:Permanent
**Hours Per Week**: 35 hours per week
**Location**: Homebased with the ability work flexibly in various locations across Buckinghamshire

**About the Job & You**:
You will have experience of supporting vulnerable clients, ideally in a domestic abuse related field. You will support a caseload of clients across Buckinghamshire aged 16+ living in the community and enable them to keep themselves safe and move on positively from abusive relationships.

You will share knowledge and experience with partner agencies and communities to improve the experience of support by individuals who are affected by domestic abuse.

You will provide 1-1 outreach case work support to survivors of abuse and to contribute to the design, development and delivery of community group work.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Complete casework to support those affected by abuse in a 1-1 outreach capacity and hold a caseload of clients.
- Provide community-based outreach support to survivors of violence and abuse
- Support, lead and participate in recovery and self esteem groups for victims/survivors
- Record, monitor and report on relevant data to assist in the understanding of the outcomes of the role as required
- Advise on housing / resettlement, criminal, civil and welfare rights legislation relating to domestic abuse
**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Experience of understanding survivors’ diverse needs and abilities and taking the learning to improve response and support
- Understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and best practices when supporting people who have experience trauma and abuse.
- Up to date knowledge of housing, criminal, civil and welfare rights legislation relating to domestic abuse
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of IT systems
- Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience of multi-agency work
