**About the Job & You**:
You will share knowledge and experience with partner agencies and communities across the Thames Valley to improve the experience of support by BAED VAWG strands of women and girls who are affected by abuse.
Specifically, this role within the project is designed to work with agency partners to support communities within Buckinghamshire to improve agency responses for women and girls in Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee communities who are affected by abuse. You will provide 1-1 outreach case work support to Survivors of VAWG strands of abuse and to contribute to the design, development and delivery of community group work.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Complete casework to improve responses and support for BAED women and girls affected by abuse in a 1-1 outreach capacity for up to 6 clients.
- Provide community-based outreach support to survivors of violence against women and girls (VAWG) from BAED communities; including sexual violence, honour-based violence, forced marriage domestic abuse, female genital mutilation and stalking;
- Assist and work alongside the VAWG Strategic lead for the Thames Valley BAED steering group to embed good practice in both statutory and third sector organisations
- Engage with local BAED communities to identify good practice.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Partner agencies to Review anonymized case studies in domestic abuse and VAWG strands of abuse to ensure effective and efficient working across the services as a whole and to share best practice;
- Design and deliver an online and or physical community group ‘Our voice’ Programme looking at self-esteem, self-worth and mindfulness.
- Record, monitor and report on relevant data to assist in the understanding of the outcomes of the project, and to contribute to the evaluation of the project
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Experience of understanding survivors’ diverse needs and abilities and taking the learning to improve response and support
- Experience of working with within an Black Asian & Minority Ethnic Diverse community groups (BAED)
- Update date knowledge of housing, criminal, civil and welfare rights legislation relating to domestic abuse or other elements of VAWG strands.
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of IT systems
- Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
