**Boarding HM (Housemaster/Mistress) - Girls Boarding House**
**Starting September 2023**
Set in 400 acres of beautiful parkland and just one hour from central London, Wellington College is one of the world’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools, and home for approximately 1100 pupils and 180 teaching staff, with an enviable reputation for excellence and innovation. We are now looking for a passionate, well-organised and self-motivated individual with strong pastoral instincts to join us as HM in the Hardinge. The Hardinge is currently a girls 6th Form House but will have its first intake of 4th Form students in September 2023 as it moves to become a 14-18 year House.
The College prides itself on the outstanding levels of pastoral support we offer our pupils. At the heart of our pastoral network are the Houses, where we seek to create a home away from home for every Wellingtonian. Each House is led and overseen by an HM, supported by a team of tutors and domestic staff, whose focus is on the safety, wellbeing and holistic development of the pupils in their care.
This is an excellent career development opportunity - indeed many HMs at Wellington have gone on to take up Deputy Headship and Headship opportunities in recent years - and it comes with a generous salary and benefits package too. The HM is expected to live within the Boarding House and the Hardinge has an attractive 3 bedroom property attached, and is based within the heart of the College.

- Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)._
- The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children._
