**Description**

We are looking for a talented intern to work in the DSP department at Better Dairy for 3 to 6 months. The role will draw on your knowledge of protein science & protein purification in a research environment.

As part of the paid internship, you will gain exposure to a range of responsibilities involved in a start-up environment, with a particular emphasis on the scientific aspect. You will be part of a small team dedicated to downstream process ingredients produced by precision fermentation.

This role is based in our Hackney Wick office full time, though some remote working is possible.

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the team in developing novel methods for protein purification
- Support the team in downstream processes
- Collaborate with the team in investigating functionality of proteins
- Participate in scientific discussions, providing insights based on scientific knowledge
- Contribute to a high performance team culture.

**Required Experience**
- Experience in protein purification and protein biochemistry
- Strong interest in dairy science
- Good communication and numeracy skills
