Cardiff, United Kingdom NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership Full time

Are you the dynamic individual we are seeking to help drive our Anti Violence Collaborative programme for 2024-26?

The Welsh Risk Pool leads the national AVC Programme and we are seeking an experienced leader who can coordinate the work of health bodies, criminal justice partners and trade unions to reduce the risks and respond to incidents of violence and aggression involving NHS Staff and those who use NHS services.

The post holder will be responsible for building on the excellent engagement between AVC partner organisations and enhancing the strategy of communications. The post holder may also be asked to support organisation's response to incidents of violence & aggression, engaging with the police services in Wales, Crown Prosecution Service in Wales and courts.

The successful post holder will be required to provide and receive highly complex, sensitive, or contentious information in circumstances where there may be barriers to understanding or engagement.

Presenting complex, sensitive, or highly contentious information to strategic bodies and large groups, with some communications needed where a hostile, antagonistic atmosphere may be present.

Highly developed communication skills in dealing with internal staff and external agencies to ensure compliance with performance, quality, and improvement targets, along with strategic objectives.

Regularly requires the use of negotiation and diplomacy; undertaking presentations to staff groups and stakeholders - needing to convey highly contentious information in atmosphere of proposed major change arising from research outcomes and quality improvement needs.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

At NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership we have high standards and expect everyone to embrace our values of Listening & Learning, Working Together, Taking Responsibility & Innovating, whilst ensuring trust, honesty and compassion are implicit in everything that we do.

We are adaptable, agile and flexible and pride ourselves on being a learning organisation - one where it is safe to make mistakes, where blame is replaced by opportunity, learning and improvement.
Innovation is built into everything that we do.

We recognise our people regularly and have an Appreciation Station, to encourage staff to applaud exemplary behaviour in one another, alongside an Annual Staff Recognition Award ceremony aligned to our values.

We respect and value our people and strive for a culture of compassion and inclusivity. We are a bilingual organisation, and we have a team of Change Champions who advocate ‘This is Our NWSSP’ our principal change programme. Similarly, PROUD is our new staff network welcoming LGBT+ colleagues and allies to come together in a safe space for discussions, event planning and the opportunity to build supportive networks.

We have a comprehensive benefits package where there is something for everyone, supporting health, engagement and wellbeing.
