We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic Wood Machinist/Sawyer for our dedicated timber branch based in Taffs Well, Cardiff.

**Location & Hours**:
40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Based at our timber yard Taffs Well, Cardiff.

**Salary & Benefits**:
Negotiable according to experience - starting at £12 a hour.

Include death-in-service scheme membership, NEST pension scheme membership. 30 days holidays including bank holidays. Annual discretionary bonus. Uniform provided.

**Duties**:

- Ability to produce high level of quality products, meeting specifications of detailed plans;
- Cut and shape timber using specific tools and machinery;
- Ability to meet the requirements of a planned schedule in relation to machining and preparing wood milled parts;
- Capability to run and control a variety of wood cutting machines;
- Ensuring a clean working environment and workshop tools at all times;
- To guarantee efficient and profitable operation of the mill.

**Skills &** **Experience**:

- NVQ or equivalent in wood machining;
- 2 years' experience in a wood Mill or similar role;
- Working on various machines including Cross cut saw, Panel saw, 9 by 4 six cutter machine, 4 sided planer, Stena 48 band saw, Panel planer, Spindle moulder;
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude;
- Experience in manual handling;
- Have the ability to complete daily task with minimum supervision;
- Good understanding of measurements;
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail;
