Howden Joinery is recruiting for our dynamic Inbound Supply Chain team at Howden, East Yorkshire, as we embark on an exciting journey of transformation and growth We're recruiting a talented Supply Planner to ensure seamless product availability in our Primary Distribution Centre, fuelling our depot demand while striking the perfect balance between inventory and service excellence. We have two main areas of focus: Raw Materials and finished goods; this role could focus on either of these areas, and there may also be an opportunity to travel.

**What will you be doing as a Supply Planner**:
You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our supply chain landscape. Reporting directly to our Planning Managers, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals aspiring to carve out a thriving career in Supply Chain Management. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, where your planning prowess will be put to the test in ensuring top-notch quality in every aspect.

We're looking for a proactive communicator, adept at fostering strong relationships both within our organisation and with external partners. Your role will involve nurturing supplier relationships, collaborating closely with purchasing, quality, and logistics teams to achieve our business objectives with finesse.

Joining our team of 30 dedicated Supply Chain and Logistics planners, you'll receive unwavering support and continuous development opportunities. As you oversee primary inventory levels totalling approximately £200 million across 500 SKUs, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our supply base's flexibility and agility to meet the demands of our evolving business model. With over 850 depots relying on your expertise to interpret sales demand, you'll be at the forefront of driving our company's success in the competitive market landscape.

**What do you need to qualify for the Supply Planner position**:

- Exposure to working in a Supply Chain environment is preferred.
- Excellent IT systems skills is essential (ideally exposure to SAP/ APO) for Planning & Production Scheduling.
- Knowledge of demand planning, or logistics and purchasing is desirable.
- A confident communicator who can use their skills to persuade and influence.
