Adviser (Autism)

**About the role**: We have an exciting new opportunity for an Adviser to join us at AccessAbility, providing specialist support for students with autistic spectrum conditions. This will include students both on course and in transition into and out of higher education.
As an Adviser, you will be responsible for understanding and explaining the impact of Autism on all aspects of student life, including study skills, sensory and anxiety management and wider aspects of University life. This will also include supporting students with co-occurring conditions such as SpLD, ADD, ADHD and mental health issues with their impacts on study.
In terms of knowledge, you should be able to demonstrate an understanding of disability and equality and data protection legislation. On a daily basis, you will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills in written, oral, remote and face to face contexts as well as patience, pragmatism, problem-solving and understanding.
