Hays (FTSE 250) is Looking for a Finance Analyst to Join their Expanding Finance Function
We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Financial Analyst to join our team at the UK&I Financial Shared Services Centre (FSSC) in New Malden. Reporting to the UK&I Financial Controller, this pivotal role will be responsible for delivering key finance responsibilitieson time and to an excellent standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate periodic management accounts in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) to Group reporting deadlines, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and key supporting analysis
- Assist with the preparation and timely submission of quarterly reforecasts and annual budgets
- Lead the periodic VAT submission process, including preparation of VAT returns and supporting balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts for submission to Group Treasury
- Submit key employment statistics to relevant authorities on a monthly / quarterly / annual basis
- Prepare / review periodic balance sheet reconciliations
- Help to manage Internal and External audit reviews
- Prepare / post / review manual journals as required
- Get involved in various projects focusing on continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strong and trusted relationships with key stakeholders
- Complete ad-hoc requests for key stakeholders within both Finance and Operations
- Provide accurate and timely financial information, reports, and analysis
- Ensure financial reporting activities are aligned with the Finance Vision statements
- Ensure financial reporting activities are aligned to FSSC operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to Hays Group Finance policy and ensure controls are maintained
Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience:
Essential:
- Part qualified accountant - Minimum requirement (Actively Studying for a Finance Qualification)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
- Analytical - Adds value by delivering insight based on detailed analysis
- Self-starter - Able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong Excel skills - Formulas, Pivot tables, V/lookups
Desirable:
- Good knowledge of HFM
- Good knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials
- Good knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI)
- Experience of working within a large, sales-led business
