RMS are recruiting for an excellent opportunity for a Software Support Technician, for a leading manufacturing company based in Newton Aycliffe.

You will be providing support to the software engineers in the production environment. This involves investigating and fixing issues on running production lines, including working alongside other departments. Assisting with the deployment of in-house softwareto production.

**Key duties and Responsibilities**:

- First line support for software related production issues. Helping to investigate these issues on the production line. Responding to support requests from production.
- Using in-house software to interrogate Robotic Auto mowers to diagnose product issues.
- Deployment and configuration of software updates.
- Working in a team collaborating in new product introductions and assisting in the software requirements for production lines.
- Investigating various production data sources to support the team and other departments
- Offering guidance and basic training to production staff on software related issues.
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- The ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- The ability to evaluate and embrace new software technologies.
- Collaborate with Quality and Product support to root cause analyse, and support production issues.
- Collaborate with production to identify and assist with day-to-day software related issues.
- Computer Studies related qualification, preferably including a programming module. E.g., Python/Visual Basic
- Advanced computer skills including file and folder navigation. Text editing software. Excel. JSON/XML experience.
- SQL experience beneficial.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Electronic skills or understanding of PCB's beneficial
- Low code experience advantageous.
- Microsoft office software including excel, power point, word etc.
- Good time management & planning skills
- Able to work collaboratively
- Able to demonstrate a "What can I do attitude"
- Good communicator, both verbal and written
